Regularly Change TIP HOLDER for longer probe life, for example, after every 10 EAR TIP changes.
Immediately change TIP HOLDER if seen to be contaminated.
Always ensure that your local infection control policy is followed.
Otodynamics probe EAR TIPS are disposable and MUST be discarded after each patient.
The mechanical redesign makes user level maintenance so much easier. There’s no dismantling of the probe to replace a tiny ‘coupler’. The XGD’s disposable tip holder just unclips and can be replaced in seconds with no danger of damage to probe transducers by inexperienced handling. And the disposable tip holder costs much less than our current couplers, meaning that the XGD will have low lower running costs and will last longer.

XGD universal probe for the measurement of TEOAE and/or DPOAE as well as AABR. For use with all Otoport devices from Otodynamics: Otoport Advance , Otoport TE , Otoport Lite and Otoport Screener. (Firmware may need to be updated to 2022 revision level).The XGD probe is equipped with an internal filter that fully protects the microphone and speaker ports.
