The VIP (Variable Impedance Pneumotachometer) flow sensor technology dynamically alters its characteristics in real-time during testing, maintaining optimum performance by actually lowering resistance as ventilation increases allowing patients to breathe easier. It also features many characteristics that are critical to real-world respiratory testing including: low breathing resistance, low dead space, insensitivity to moisture, and fast response – leading to improved performance and patient comfort.The VIP flow sensor is designed for long life, lasting for years of degradation-free performance as opposed to requiring frequent replacement like many other flow sensors.
